Willinshare EduPair China Program
Willinshare helps match culture-hungry young adults to individual Chinese families looking to host an EduPair to help with child's education. On top of language learning, participants on both sides, EduPairs and host families, will learn from each other's values, customs and traditions through spending 3-12months together under the same roof.
Many Chinese families are interested in hosting native or fluent English speakers in their homes to support their child's language development and provide an opportunity to promote cultural diversity and understanding between Sino-Western cultural exchange. By providing high-level support to program participants before and during their Au Pair China experience, Willinshare offers a program that is ideal for seasoned and first-time travellers to Asia who may experience some anxiety around cultural differences.
Basic Requirements
An EduPair qualified to apply for our EduPair program should be:

Between 18 to 29 years old (not having turned 30 upon arrival; negotiable for native speakers or competitive applicants )

At least a high school graduate or equivalent

Proficient in spoken English

In good health, and physically fit

Costs and Stipends
No Program Fee

Applicants do not pay any program fees to participate in our EduPair China Program.
Expenses before arriving in China can be Reimbersed

Downpayment of 700RMB (around 100USD)

Visa fee (dependent on the country of origin)

Airplane ticket to Xi'an

Fee for having your doctor complete a medical history form (fee dependent on your doctor)

Fee for obtaining a background check or criminal record check (fee dependent on your country/state of residence)
*Downpayment、Visa fee、Airplane ticket mentioned above will be completely or partially returned to the EduPairs upon their completion of the program.
Budget for first month in China

For basic living expenses, 1500-2500RMB (around 215-360USD) should be enough for the first month in China.

Monthly Pocket Money

EduPairs will receive their first installment of pocket money 1500 RMB(around 215USD) after the completion of their first month with the family. After EduPairs have completed the first month, their pocket money will typically be given to them at the start of each month.
Program Completion Bonus

EduPairs will receive up to12000 RMB(around 1740USD) as a flight stipend depending on their length of stay. The flight stipend will be offered upon the EduPairs' completion of the program.

Upon the completion of the program, EduPairs will be reimbursed for the visa fee.

Receive confirmation of the host family and sign a contract

Complete visa application and obtain Chinese visa

Book air travel to China and arrive in China!
Additional Information :

We have a mutual matching process for the EduPair and the host family. We will provide the EduPair with potential host family profiles to choose from before one or several rounds of video meetings be arranged. The EduPair has the right to decide if he/she would like to stay with a potential family who decided to choose him/her as their new EduPair. Once a match is made, the EduPair and the Host Family need to sign a placement agreement to finalize tasks and schedules during the stay in China.
Willinshare team will assist with translation during the whole mutual matching process.

Supporting documents are requested once an EduPair has been matched with a host family. The documents should be submitted prior to applying for a visa include:
*Copy of passport
*Medical form completed by the doctor
*Police/Background check
*Copy of education diploma
EduPair Responsibilities
English tutoring is considered to be the number one reason most Chinese host families would like to have a foreign EduPair at home. Your main responsibilities are being an English tutor and a role model like an elder sister or brother, rather than a nanny. You will have the opportunity to experience authentic Chinese culture by engaging the family activities as well.
An EduPair in our program is expected to:

Tutor the host kid(s) in English

Assist in homework

Morning & bedtime routine

Take the host kid(s) to & from school

Play with the host kid(s) indoors & outdoors

Serve as a positive role model
Care for the Children

Take care of own accommodation cleanliness

Wash and fold own clothing

Contribute to preparing simple meals

Assist with grocery shopping

Contribute to international cultural exchanges with family members
Care for the Family
Visa Issues
In order to become an EduPair in China, applicants will need to apply for an official Chinese visa. Willinshare will provide applicants with the necessary supporting documents to successfully apply for a Chinese visa as well as assist the applicants throughout the visa application process.
4-7 Working Days
Normally it takes 4-7 working days starting from the date of submission (not including shipping time) to obtain your Chinese visa.
Visa Fee
When you apply for the visa, you will have to pay for the visa fee. However, the visa fee will be reimbursed upon your completion of the EduPair program.
Insurance
Willinshare will provide you with health insurance and liability insurance for the duration of your EduPair China program dates at no additional cost to you.

Scholarship
SCHOLARSHIP OF MANDARIN
For EduPair China participants who have studied Mandarin at universities, institutions, training schools, we offer those who have obtained HSK4 or up certificate a scholarship up to 1000RMB (around 145USD) depending on the length of stay upon their completion of the program.

For EduPair China participants who have obtained TEFL/TESOL certificate at recognized institutions, we offer a scholarship up to 1000RMB (around 145USD) depending on the length of stay upon their completion of the program.
SCHOLARSHIP OF TOP UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
For EduPair China participants who are students/alumni of world top 200 universities listed on QS, we offer extra bonus upon their completion of the program depending on the length of stay. The scholarship can reach up to 3000 RMB (around 430USD) .
