Why China
Known equally for its ancient history spanning an incredible 5,000 years and its digital, political, and economic growth on the world stage, China is a country that needs to be experienced firsthand.
Today, China has increasingly opened up to the world. Many say that going to China is to see the direction in which the world is heading. However you see China, these days, you must see China for your own eyes.
Stand out with a China Experience.

Today's China reminds me of America in the 1980s. What meets the eye across the vast expanse of the country is vigor, dynamism, and promise. I think everyone who is open to trying new things and has an optimistic lifestyle, should come and visit at least once in their lifetime.

China is changing so fast that it makes me afraid. You'd need to live there to understand that. I would definitely come back again even though next time when I come, I could be unable to recognize a place.

I am one of the many foreigners who come to China thinking what we've seen is so much different from what we've heard at home. However you see China, these days, you must see China for your own eyes. It would be a life-changing experience.

CAREER
Enormous need for foreigners who can speak Mandarin Chinese
China has opened itself up to the world, encouraging foreign investment and economic cooperation. As such, there is a huge demand for people who can bridge the gap between this new growing China and the wider world. Of course, to be this sort of bridge, there is one skill you must have: fluent Mandarin Chinese. Due to the lack of people in the Western business world who can speak both Chinese and English, there’s a huge demand for these skills, and this can of course mean very lucrative wages. And knowing Chinese may give you an edge when competing for an important position.
Strong international economic integration
International businesses prefer to hire people who speak more than one language. China has become a huge market, and business leaders are looking for people who can operate successfully in a Chinese cultural context. Many multinational enterprises, such as Tesla and Apple do business in China and have long-term investments there. China's international economic integration is enormous and it will play a major role in world affairs in the future. Someone that is able to understand the Chinese cultural sphere and can speak its language has a wide range of excellent opportunities for employment in all areas now and in the future.
SAFETY
One of the safest countries in the world
China has reportedly become one of the safest countries in the world, with an average of 6.2 murders per one million inhabitants in 2016. Considering 1.4 billion people, it is being viewed as a positive sign.
While the country maintains strong control over society, it still manages to grow its economy at a considerable rate. The combination of the two is what leads to a low crime rate. The police can be reached everywhere, at least in big cities. Firearms, drugs and gambling are prohibited. The use of artificial intelligence for the public security system is spreading across the country. Places of commercial business usually won't close until 10 pm every day. It is safe even at midnight as petty crimes are rarely reported. In addition, the majority of Chinese people influenced by collectivism are more likely to behave accordingly with social norms. This also contributes to the low crime rate.

SOCAIL STATUS
Teachers enjoy a high social status
As an EduPair in China, your responsibilities will be focused on practicing and tutoring the host kid in English. Teachers are revered and teachers enjoy the very high status in society compared to other countries. Chinese people give the most respect to teachers and the teaching profession. So will the host families.
Foreigners are welcomed
The majority of Chinese people are very friendly and welcoming towards foreign people. Generally, they will treat the foreigners they encounter as dear guests and show you their homeland in the best light. You will always meet people willing to help. And, Chinese people are following with interest what's going on worldwide. It’s easy to talk with people and make friends, especially if you are open and respectful. In addition, foreigners get free beers often in lots of bars in this country.

Other booming technology industries like Didi, Mobike and SF Express greatly benefit people's daily life. And recently the Chinese government outspent the U.S. government 200-to-1 in artificial intelligence, in keeping with China’s plan to become the world leader in AI by 2030 as one of the most innovative economies in the world.
Constant improvement of public infrastructure
Transit in the cities is easy and cheap. China's urbanization process keeps pushing the fast improvement of public infrastructures. The urban rail transit operating mileage in major cities was 6730 kilometers, ranking first in the world by the end of 2019, and this number is expected to go on rising for the following years. Guided by the conviction that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, governments value investment in parks, gardens, open spaces to improve the eco-environment. Major cities are building their own central parks like the one in New York.
